Ximena's patience, attention to detail, and
experience, teaching Spanish to foreign students, mean that I have made great
progress, in fluency, understanding, confidence, and the ability to express
myself in Spanish.
Her enthusiasm for the language and passion for
the culture and history of her country, along with her great sense of humour,
make lessons a real pleasure. I'm learning more Spanish each week, talking
about real-life subjects in modern Spanish, not sitting in a crowded classroom,
repeating verb conjugations, and never actually having a conversation.
The lessons are on-line in a 3D virtual
environment, with all the equipment you would expect in a real classroom; a
projector screen, live videos from YouTube, and a real teacher.
We can pass notecards back and forth in class. I
can snapshot the images on screen, to review later. I even have homework and
assignments, but I never have to leave the comfort of my own home.
